2015 Montana High country...

2015 Montana High country 5th wheel with Dometic A/C that has been very noisy, shuddering and not that much air flow since day 1. During dealer walkthru he stated it is normal and they all do it! TV has to be turned WAY up and normal conversations are very difficult.

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the Freon level?

No, but a service call is coming up. The noise and vibration has been the same since day 1, no worse, no better.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Country yourself? What have you tried so far?

Have not tried anything other than looking at forums and seeing many people say Dometic is notorious for noise issues. Not much help.

It should be looked at to see if the fan cage or fan blade is out of position or possible even broken and causing this vibration. It would not be the first time I have seen this. I have an RV shop and deal with this all the time.

This would not be hard to check if you don't want to spend the time and money for a shop visit. It should still be under warranty, but you do have to get them to actually check this out.

If it involves my standing on ladder to inspect unit, or climb on roof, I'm not able to do that safely.

O.K........then a mobile tech or trip to the shop would be needed. Only takes a few minutes to check. Nobody can assist you there?
