You can take the cover off and put your hand on it and see if you feel any vibration and it will be warm when on. Check that and get back to me.

No only fan motor is on

Do you have a small digital multimeter for some testing? About $20 and easy to use. I can direct you in that. Is this a digital or an analog slide control thermostat?

Do you have or can you get a 12 VDC test light so we can test that?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I have a multimetrr

You should be able to pull that off the wall so you can get to the wiring. They make a few models of that so if you can give me the part number off the back it would help. Then I can tell you what to test for.

Expert:  Randall replied 2 months ago.

On most of these you want to test between the yellow which is compressor and the blue lead which is ground. If no good voltage on the yellow then thermostat is bad. Let me know what happens.

So test for 12 VDC between the yellow and the blue lead when it is on Hi Cool setting.

Expert:  Randall replied 2 months ago.

Don't disconnect them. Just put the probes on the connections.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Ok and if I don't have it
Expert:  Randall replied 2 months ago.

Don't have the 12 VDC? If that is the case, then the thermostat is bad.

Expert:  Randall replied 2 months ago.

They have had quite a few problems with them. Shop around as the price varies. Let me know if you need more later. And please take the time to enter in a Star Rating as that is the only way I get credit from the site for the time spent assisting you on this question. Thanks!
