Customer Question
I have a problem...

I have a problem getting Voltage from a working 13+ volt out converter to the coach battery.

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?

The batteries were on trickle charge but dropped to 2 volts. I charged both. I have zero line volts at the battery connection points. I've traced the on volt issue to a box containing two connectors

Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your Volt?

1999 Coachmen

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Volt yourself? What have you tried so far?

So far i've only tested the output at the converter at the battery and at the mystery box

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I don't know what you need to know

How old are the batteries? I would start by load testing the batteries. And you won't get much of a charge from a trickle charger. The converter should charge these up fully and much faster.

Most any place that sell batteries can check these for you. Once you rule that out we can go from there if needed.

The converter should be putting out about 13.7 VDC. If this is the OEM model it may be malfunctioning and we can test that. All follow ups are included in our fee. No time limit.
