JA: Are you fixing your Patriot yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Tried replacing the switch but it did not solve problem.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Cannot find the fuse for that area.

Expert:  Wayne replied 10 months ago.

Ok,

That is a fuse issue, will be fuse in the closet,

under the sink and under the hood , check them

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you know exactly where it is? We have been unable to find them. There is no map in the manual. What does it look like, the fuse box?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The fuse panel in the closet does not seem to handle the slide out.
Expert:  Wayne replied 10 months ago.

No, The body builders put them in different spots,

that is why it is not in your book

did you have power at the switch ??

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
we have power to the switch
Expert:  Wayne replied 10 months ago.

Hi

If you have power at switch it is not a fuse

need to go down by the motor and see if the solenoids are working

use a test light or volt meter

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
There is a large soLenoid in the battery compartment I assum looks like a auto solenoid there is a small bank of sealed fuses on the wall and I spotted one near what I think is the hydrolic pump
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you set t
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you set the volt meter to DC and touch leads to each side simultanously?
Expert:  Wayne replied 10 months ago.

HI

Yes that is correct DC

ground the black lead, and use the red lead to check for voltage

at small terminal when switch is pushed

and then at each side of the solenoid

I hope this helped you
