Batteries showing low voltage.. not enough to start

Customer Question

Batteries showing low voltage.. not enough to start generator. Had RV plugged up at house overnight to 20 amp service and still can't start generator.
JA: How old is the battery? And have you tested it with a voltmeter?
Customer: Just bought RV last month. Have not tested. RV is running now. Will that charge batteries enough to start generator?
JA: What is the model/year of your RV?
Customer: 2008 Monaco Diplomat.
JA: Are you fixing your Diplomat yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Tried using battery boost button on dash as well. Lights in RV dim when generator tries to start. Which batteries start the generator? House or chassis?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi I'm Wayne

I will help you with this

What I suggest is to hook battery charger to

coach batteries and charge them, sounds like 1 or 2 failed

and if they are bad the house won't charge them

you be replacing them

I hope this helped you
