IF you have an inverter, go unplug from power, shut all your breakers off inside, shut down the inverter, plug back into power turn the inverter on and see if the breaker trips, if so then it could be an issue with the inverter or the supply source you are using. IF it does NOT trip go inside and turn the breakers ON one at a time until the breaker on the inverter trips and see what circuit it is. Since everything is working with the generator kind of points towards the supply source or cord. IF you are using any adapters or extension cords on the main cord I would eliminate them and plug in direct and see what happens. The iota is a converter, it plugs into an outlet. Where is this breaker you are talking about that is tripping? IS it on the inverter.

Some RVS have both an inverter and power converter, not many have that setup but some do.....

The converter would have two fuses on it, I am just unsure what breaker you are talking about, is it on the inverter, inside the RV etc.

Also so you are aware the company offers a phone service for an additional fee, if you would like to try that I can send you the request, might be faster, if not this format still works for me....

Are you using any cords or adapters on the main cord OR are you plugged in direct??

Just to be sure on this so you are not wasting money on a new converter I would plug in direct with no cords or adapters, if you have the same problem then I would replace the converter. Cords can cause problems, the longer the run of cord the more line loss you can have, once you have line loss then items are going to start to fail, I strongly suggest this because everything works fine on generator power. IF you get the same results replace the converter.

I might also get a polarity checker, most places like Home Depot have them for a few dollars, it plugs into the outlet and will tell you if there is a wiring issue with the incoming AC power. I want to say the converter is at fault but want you have to rule out the incoming power source, especially if everything is working with the generator......

Replaced for sure on that. The problem here is if your incoming voltage is not correct it can take that out, so I highly recommend you check the incoming polarity. Also if you always had this issue where you are plugging in you need to make sure it is not wired 220 direct, on a 50 amp service it is 2 hot legs of 110 NOT 220 direct, that can be damaging.... I might be getting ahead of myself but something to look for if the polarity is not right... Robert
