I'm replacing a 4.0 onan spec k with a spec p that has a connection for a purge line. There is no purge line on the original install. Can I just cap this off

I wasn't positive about this so I called my friend at the Onan Service
Center and he told me you are supposed to put an E-vap canister on those and that costs around $300 or so. Now that would be in Oregon, so your state might be different. He indicated that it will run without one. Hope that proves helpful here. Please get back to me if you need more on this as all follow ups are included in our fee.
