Customer Question

Hello we have a popup rv with a Dometic RM2193 refrigerator. It works great on LPG but not at all on 110. We checked the breakers and fuses and everything is in working order. We also checked the outlet where the fridge is plugged in by plugging in a lamp and that works. What can we do next?
JA: What's the make and model of the fridge? And can you guesstimate how old is it?
Customer: The rv is a 2006 Fleetwood SantaFe
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If possible yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Nothing else comes to mind. Having access to the schematics might help

Hi the first thing you need to do is see if the 110v heating element is bad or still good. Make sure the refer is unplugged, then follow the wires from the element, located in the heat stack above the burner, take the two wires off at their connections, and with your volt meter set on continuity, check the two wires for continuity if it has resistance it is good if it is 'open' (no resistance) its bad, check it out, and let me know we will move forward after this if the element is good thanks.
