2011 allegro bus less than 7k miles purchased brand new one

Customer Question

2011 allegro bus less than 7k miles purchased brand new one owner kept in garage great shape going down interstate whenever we get above 70-72 mph temp of coolant gets upwards of 210 and light comes on. Coolant gauge in rear shows fine not low, towing Jeep behind us with Blue ox hitch - in Ga and outside temp at or around 100 degrees - any ideas? If we slow down it cools down. When we stop its fine.

It may be that there is nothing actually wrong but that is just too much load for a hot day on that new an engine. Keep it down and get some miles on this before you push it that hard. Any hills will make this worse. Be sure you are using the correct oil and filters and pay strict attention to the servicing schedule. I don't blame you for being cautious. Hope that helps here. There is some discussion online it could be the fan clutch motor causing overheat?
Expert:  Randall replied 1 year ago.

Could be, but usually you would see more issues like this at lower speeds if that was acting up. It would be a good idea to have it checked when you can get into a Service Center.
