Customer Question

We have a 2008 leisure seeker with a slideout and yesterday found the rear end would not retract, only thr front end so had to manually push the rear end in but it will not lock. O nly the front end locks. Can you say what may cause this problem

Usually a bolt or shear pin allows the one end to not be tracking correctly. Look underneath on that arm and see if you can see a bolt missing in the cross shaft. On a shear pin issue, it is harder to determine but sometimes you can see the shaft move and the gear lags behind. Those would be the two most common causes of this (depending on the make of your slide hardware) On some hydraulic units it is a problem with the valve that controls the racking of the room. If you know who made the slideout hardware I can offer more here. All follow ups are included in our fee.
