I have a 2005 Sightseer Class A motorhome with rust on the windshield frame. What is the BEST repair solution to prevent this from happening in the future?

Using some good chrome polish on a regular basis should keep it clean and bright. Some good paste wax afterwards will help.

I think you mis understood the question. I am speaking of the metal rusted frame that the windshields sit on. The glass was removed due to a crack and there is medium / severe rust on that frame. I have read a lot on this common problem with Winnebago coaches.

I guess I did........I use Naval Jelly for rust removal. But, I will opt out of this and allow another tech to offer something here.

what we did with that , is clean it with 80 grit sand paper, then

150 Grit, brush it with acid, rinse cold water

air dry, the a coat of Rustoleum rust primer $40.00 gal (brown in color )

but comes in quarts also , if not painting use 2 coats of primer
