Customer Question

hello, yes I have a 2000 itasca spirit 31t and the generator works, but once I plug the shore power cord into the socket to the generator the generator shuts off, if I plug the shore power wire into a outlet outside it doesnt work, you think there is a short in the wire? or is there a gfi thats popped?

The shore cord is a 30 amp 120 VAC plug........or should be. 3 prongs? It sounds like you may have a short or open circuit and most of the time that would be in the cord at the plug. Take a look and see if it looks like it has been hot and is melted around the prongs. Then get back to me and we can go from there. All follow ups are included in our fee.
