So this happens when you try to use it on LP mode without being plugged into shore power?
This can be several thing depending on the number of lights flashing and the sequences. I am attaching the Norcold Service Manual for you. See pages 11 and 12 where these are described. Pay strict attention to the NUMBER of lights and the timing. Then get back to me with the description of the problem and I can give you a fix for that. Print out the manual or at least the sections that apply to your model so you have them. Great information in there! http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ncold900.pdf
Most of these are showing some kind of AC or DC voltage issues.............too high or too low. If you have a small digital multimeter we can do some testing and find out which it is. About $20 or so at most hardware stores and easy to use. Let me know what you see from the manual and we can test for that. All follow ups are included in our fee.
Did you look at the error codes? And testing on the voltage is the way to track this down.........
O.K............the incoming DC voltage should be about 12.8 VDC and not over 14 VDC and have NO AC ripple in the circuit which is some dirty AC bleeding over out of the converter into the DC side. The AC incoming voltage should be about 120 VAC give or take a few volts.
Set your meter on AC volts and take a reading at the DC inputs...........you don't want to see over .5 VAC there.
This is called "AC ripple" and that voltage has to be added to the DC voltage.
You are allowed a 10% plus or minus factor..........and if there is no ignition (spark) then it can be that OR the front board. Only testing can tell you that. What is the part number on the board? It should be 6 numbers beginning with a 6.
