Hi my name is Robert.....

The LP furnace will not run on electric, however some AC units have an option for heat pump and that allows the AC unit to make warm air, even with that it is not very effective when it is very cold, it does not work well when the temp gets below 40. It is meant to take the chill out of the air. The thermostat would have an option for heat if you had that feature. The LP furnace does not work on electric like the water heater and fridge, sorry if this is bad news.... Robert
