I have a All-Power 2000 watt portable gas generator.Problem

I have a All-Power 2000 watt portable gas generator.Problem is switch will not shut down motor when shut off.I have chked all wiring and connections.Any idea?

I assume you mean the model is APG3014?

On the back of the switch, there will be a black wire, and a yellow wire with green stripe.

The yellow wire with green stripe needs to go to a clean frame ground. Make sure the wire is not broken.

The black wire goes to a connector. The other side of the connector will have 2 black wires attached to it.

One of those black wires goes to the low oil switch.

The other goes to the coil.

Make sure neither of those wires is broken.

Touching either black wire to ground should shut the unit down. If neither wire is broken or disconnected, your switch may be bad. You can do a simple continuity test of the switch to determine if it is good or bad.
