Villagio: As we were driving our almost new (800 miles) 2014

Customer Question

As we were driving our almost new (800 miles) 2014 Renegade Villagio RV built on the V6 3500 Mercedes diesel chassis a 27d error message appeared in place of the odometer readout. A warning light such as the check engine or oil pressure light did not light up on the instrument panel above the odometer screen. The message would clear and reappear again every few minutes. The owners manual made no reference to this type of error. All fluids were checked and were normal. The vehicle also performed normally. The thread with your suggestion for a "cure" is 4 years old. Should a software update still be done?

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.
My info is limited on your model here but I see no one else has responded and thought I would see if I can help here.
This may still be a software issue here even 4 years newer in some cases.I would have the engine oil pressure and battery as well as alternator tested to see if this is an oil pressure or charge issue here.If an issue is found with any of these this will need corrected. If these are all o.k. I would have the vehicle checked for any software updates for this issue here.I suspect a possible charge issue.
Thanks Pete
