Establishment (Thor) Pinnacle RV: i have a 1989 RV built on

Customer Question

i have a 1989 RV built on a chevy p30 chassis. At night, when I have the lights on, the backup lights (reverse) are on and stay on. They aren't that way during the day (work normally). Both backup lights are like this. What should i check? I can use a multimeter.

Hi Larry here. I need to ask some questions if you haven't solved your issue yet.

The lights are probably dim and are not visible during the day. I would suggest as a test to place the transmission in neutral and see if the lights are still on. If they went out, that would indicate the shifter is out of adjustment with the reverse back-up switch. If not, then the switch itself has shorted and must be replaced. Thanks for asking and don't forget to rate.
