good morning my name is ***** ***** I will assist
what was the code???
as far as the fuel gauge, you may have an issue in the tank itself not allowing the float to move freely.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Code. P0171. Before changed fuel pump had P0171, 0174 and 0463. Also, is 91 octane necessary in this...originally dealer said 87 but auto zone said to use 91.

Could problem possibly be bad computer? I have read some forums leading that direction

ok, the 171,174 codes indicate lean condition. possible causes are vacuum leak, pcv valve bad, low fuel pressure. most common cause is a vacuum leak.
the 463 is a fuel level sensor code for high input. since you have replaced the module, I suggest checking wiring for and connections that are damaged or harness damage.
no it is not the computer yet.
