When I retract the auto Jack it kicks the 30 amp breaker and

when I retract the auto Jack it kicks the 30 amp breaker and it seems to be taking more power than when I am trying to extend the Jack

I will help you with this
That is caused from the brushes in the electric motor
that is very common, as they wear they ground part of the brush starts
to touch the armature
You can have that motor rebuilt, clean armature and install brushes

the motor does not getting warm and why would it work to extend the Jack and not work well retracting the Jackit is also intermittent sometimes it works well other times it does not
