How long has it been since the batteries were serviced and load tested? About 90% of the questions we see like this every day are battery issues or dirty cables and connections. And does this have a standard converter or an inverter/charger for charging the batteries?

Yes............cut the old ones off the Magnetek unit right at the base with the power off and the battery ground disconnected and then strip them back about 3/8" and insert and tighten them. Be sure you keep the polarity correct. Red is the positive lead. Then hook back up again and plug it in.
