Sounds like the converter could be bad. I would first verify the voltage at the source, make sure it is good and the polarity is good. You can try and shut down all the breakers inside except for the main and the converter and see if it trips, if it does not trip then something is overloading the trailer. Using a standard house hold outlet and an extension cord can also cause issue, everything has to work harder and if the batteries are being under a heavy charge it could trip the breaker. Make sure any adapters you are using to the source are also in good condition. HERE is some troubleshooting information for you. Normally when these converters fail you change them out...
