Thank you for using Just Answer, I will quickly, and methodicly work through your repair needs.......Thank you.........Michael you need to remove the legs from the unit to do the repair,,,,,,,,,,and when its on the truck, its a good move,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there are bolts which hold the lets inside the ft compartments,,,,,,,,,remove the sliding foot, to give you more room to remove the outer leg assy.............and this is the driven leg, it will be easier to get out than the drive leg on the other side,,,,,,,,.............the problem is no doubt the gears, stripping,,,,,,,,,,..................If its been broken 3 times, look at the leg once you get it out, and make sure its not bent and rides smoothly up and down, use a 1/2 drive drill to do this.......................I'll be here for any other informtion you may need...........MichaelMichael Reush40721.1476618866
