You can ohm out the element,it should read 48 ohms if it is good,to remove it there is a piece of sheet metal on the boiler tube,take it off and the element will slide up and out,you may have to work it back and forth to get it out.If it is frozen in the tube?Most of the cooling units have two tubes welded on them,you can slide the new element in the other tube if needed,otherwise the fridge will have to be pulled and the old element driven out or drilled out.But it should just slide out.Here is a manual on the fridge.
