First verify the battery voltage, this seems not to be an issue if everything else is working but I would double check. This sounds like it could be the thermostat if the motor is not coming on. The thermostat is first in line of the controls for the furnace operating circuit. By reacting to room temperature, the thermostat closes a set of contact points that permit electric current to flow to the on/off switch and then the delay relay..
To check the thermostat disconnect the thermostat wires from the furnace, then use a multimeter set to OHMS across these two wires, When the thermostat contacts close (high temp setting) there should be 0 ohm reading, when the contacts open (low temp setting) there should be an infinity ohm reading...
With the thermostat being busted and the cover having to be removed I would check this first... Hope this helps..

First that fan running on the converter will drain the battery down very fast. Most campers, RV'S have a battery cut-out switch located near the door, when this is shut off it should kill the 12 volt power inside the unit. When you are plugged in the converter will provide the 12 volt voltage (it takes AC voltage and makes DC voltage) and charge the battery at a slow rate. When you unplug the camper it is running only off battery power so it is possible the converter circuit is getting powered by just the battery and would cause the battery to drain down... Most smaller pop-ups have a power converter and larger RV'S have a power inverter. The Inverter transforms 12 volt power into 120 AC household current,this allows you to operate AC appliances not plugged in..
IF the breaker turns the fan off I would do this if you are not in the camper, that fan will drain the battery down... IF in fact you do have an inverter it should be turned off because it will drain your battery even faster if it is on and not plugged in...
