First off I cringe as a RV Tech when I see any Newmar, Just for the fact they make everything so difficult to access for routine maintance..

The unit looks very nice and clean I will say that... This engine the ISB is a 5.9 L, one benefit is it is good on gas. It does lack some power however if you are not happy with the performance you can have a Banks system installed in this, which would give you way more power. HERE is a link for the 1998 5.9L that banks can do.. I hear allot of good things about them from customers. This engine was common in buses also. One thing I would also advise this is on e-bay and I would make certain to drive it and make sure there are no major leaks also check the exhaust manifold.. Hope this helps.
