Hi I'm Kevin the most common cause of these types of problem on all Renault petrol engines is the crankshaft position sensor .the sensor relays the crankshafts position in its rotation so that the cars engine management system knows when to inject fuel and put a spark to each cylinder.these sensors are a very common failure and cause exactly your symptoms.i would recommend a Renault sensor as it's also supplied with a modified multiplayer to prevent further occurrences please rate my service and come back to me if you need anything else at all
