I have colleague with whom I have a problem . We were supposed to work together at night . We were supposed to do the tablets ,check and do the laundry ,peel the vegetables in the kitchen ,check the dining room ,answer the bells and put the old people to bed . All these are the tasks we do at night up to midnight . We had to start with the meds . We usually share the responsibility and every one of us two does one floor of residents . We have only two floors. The upstairs residents are very few while the downstairs residents are more . We have to choose which floor we want to do the meds . I said that I want the upstairs floor. Anamaria said that she wants it as well . I insisted on doing the upstairs floor because I work more hours than her and I get more tired .Anamaria said that she would be happy doing both floors . I answered the bells . I checked the laundry the kitchen and the dining room . Then I went to the pill room . I confirmed that she was doing both floors . I sat down waiting for bells to ring . Anamaria saw me sitting down . She wasn't happy with that. She thinks that I should help her with the pills . There is a rule in the care home . When one does medication the other must be on the floor in order to help in case the bell rings . Also the person who does medication cannot answer the bells at the same time because it's dangerous Anamaria regards ***** ***** was lazy
. Do you think that I made a mistake and I really behaved like a lazy ?
