Now, with regard to your gf, you have remarkably insightful and intelligent thoughts about all of this and I respect that.
You know she needs counseling in order to get out of her deep, dark hole of depression and emotional numbness - so be more proactive for her.
Tell her anything you have to in order to have her cooperate (for her own good)
Explain that YOU need some counseling in order to get over this tragic loss to your heart (the relationship). Ask her to go with you

If she refuses to go, then you go by yourself. You'll not only find tools to help you deal with the pain of loss for yourself, but you'll be able to learn new ways to influence her and her life that may eventually result in her getting the help she needs.
Whether you find a solution by seeing a counselor together or alone, you're going to be better for it - discover your own power and learn to accept the reality, however unpleasant it is. But hopefully she cooperates and with a professional's help - both of you can move forward from this and either re new your relationship or uncover a new relationship, a different one, where you can still be in each others lives.
