Hello, I don’t know what you called this. For three years my husband and I were living with his parents. In the home there was his sister her daughter and her husband. Along with my husband’s mothers parents. Along with my husband‘s father‘s mother. Recently unexpectedly my father-in-law passed away in December of last year. A month later after my father-in-law died. My mother-in-law told us that there’s this guy at church that she’s interested in. Love my husband’s siblings like this guy there was two occasions that my mother-in-law and this guy went out to eat with her family and he never paid for her. He had also ghosted her from time to time. And recently he told her to kick everyone out the house that everything is just too much for her. My father-in-law made sure my mother-in-law was really taken care of she has a quarter of $1 million that she’s received from life insurance policies from his passing. Soon after my father-in-law passed away she took his car in and bought a new car. She’s also done a lot of changing around the house and wants everything out. Recently she started working on renovations for the basement downstairs my father-in-law was a smoker he would smoke in the house. But she was OK with everything the way it was while he was alive. Since my father-in-law passed away this seems to be a complete change in my mother-in-law‘s behavior. She is not as family oriented as she used to be. She wants everybody out the house. Mind you this was never a problem while my father-in-law was alive. She has no interest in her kids or her grandkids anymore. She seems very high strung. There seems to be all the sudden a certain urge to get all these houses in renovations done. For example my husband and I stayed in the basement bedroom downstairs we’re moving into weeks so everything‘s gonna be out on the first but apparently we’re not moving fast enough for her she want to get everything away from the wall so people will can start working on the walls in my husband and I room. When the basement hasn’t even been finished yet. She doesn’t like anybody voicing their displeasure and the guy from church. She tells everybody she wants them out of her business and she doesn’t wanna be tied down anymore. Is this mental illness?
