Hi jen, Hope all is good...

Hi jen,
Hope all is good. Things are moving slowly but moving during my divorce and I am both scared and excited but looking forward to life on the other side of the fence. I am in therapy and feel good about myself.
I Was talking to my friend Renee today who somehow wound up having phone sex with the contractor who did her bathroom and living room floor. She is single so it's not an issue but now she wants to put a floor in her upstairs bedroom. Should she use the same contractor or go with a different one? Also, she liked him and wonders if it was a mistake having this phone encounter and does it hurt her chances of having a real relationship eith him ...Much thanks.

I am excited for you too....so many new possibilities for you.

As for your friend..sounds like she is having a good time and most likely if she uses him to do the upstairs bedroom things will progress and possibly into full intimacy and not just on the phone. Do I think it will turn into a "real" relationship? Probably not, but if she is free and okay with letting herself live, then why not?!

Thanks so much, and appreciate your kind words. I have so much anger and resentment even at myself for staying so long but it is mixed with hope and dignity going forward.
Just wondering why you feel she may not have a real relationship with him. She likes him a lot. For me, I don't think I will loose her friendship but I can't help but be curious over this new thing she has going which surprised me when she told me e cause she didn't do a y thing like this since her husband died 15 years ago, not even did she date. I never asked her why. We are close but hey az long as she is having fun it's okay.

You stayed because you stayed...for your family and for your children...as you know beating yourself up over that doesn't serve you. You are out now and have so much to live and learn.

I think the way I do about your friend is because there isn't really an incentive to get to know her and take her out....there is an attraction and that is being fulfilled by their phone sex...just my hunch about it all.

For me, I'm doing a happy dance. I never thought I could be happy during a divorce, at times sad too which is normal.
I see what you mean.
My grandmother has a picture on the wall that sais ..."We get old too soon, and wise too late." Perhaps better late than never. Have a good rest of the weekend and thanks for time!
