Ive been dating a divorced woman in her mid 40s with one

Resolved Question:

I've been dating a divorced woman in her mid 40's with one child for past several months. Have bee to over a dozen dinners and several lunches. Really enjoyed spending time and getting to know each other. We have kissed and been intimate without having intercourse. On a date last week after dinner while kissing and virtually not clothes on while on her sofa she declared she would not sleep with me. I was caught off guard and did not know what to think of this declaration. Am not sure what to think at this point??? We have spoken since but seems to be retracted conversation. What could be going on here?

Thanks for your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I'd like to help you out.

It sounds like this woman may have mistaken your intentions, or was concerned about your primary focus being sex as opposed to your relationship with her. If this is something that has happened to her in past relationship, that may have been the reason behind her strong declaration. At this point it may help to let her know how much you enjoy spending time with her, and let her know that your intentions are good. If you are ok without having sex for now, it would probably help to tell her that too, which will take some of the uncomfortableness away. Otherwise it sounds like you have a good connection together, so I would think that once you've talked about this particular issue and she is assured that your intentions are good, that the conversations and time you spend together will be normal again.

I certainly wish you the best and if there's anything else I can do to help just let me know.
