I am a 33 year old married woman with 2 children (5 and a 15 month old) currently being treated for my second bout of post natal depression with lexapro. My husband and I are constantly at odds with our sex drives with his being huge and mine being practically non-existant.I'm happy for sex once or twice a week if I'm feeling good, happy, not tired etc.My husband wants it constantly and gets quite upset and sad if it doesn't happen. My question is should I be getting some help to increase my sex drive or am I normal?

Low libido is not abnormal in mothers of young children. The hormone prolactin in women causes this. Other factors that may be causing this are antidepressant medication, depression itself, being tired/stressed out.

To rule out physiological causes, a blood panel test can show hormonal abnormalities.

There are natural options that you may explore such as Macuna pruriens, Tribulus or hypnotherapy. Others would be couples/sex therapy depending on what you'd like to look into.
