My roku works with...

My roku works with only one tv. It worked yesterday but now my tv says No HDMI connected. I changed cables but no connection. I tried another devise on the same outlet and it works. My roku is not being accepted by the tv.

Technician's Assistant: What does your TV screen look like when you try to connect your digital media player? Is there anything at all displayed?

No cable connected...It what it says. I used another devise with the same cable and it Was accepted.

Technician's Assistant: Is your digital media player connected to the TV, or is it connected to a power outlet?

Yes

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Video Expert to know before I connect you?

I use the same HDMI and power cord on a different tv and it is accepted.

I tried my old roku with the same HDMI and power outlet and it works. I tried my new roku on the same tv (worked yesterday) now says, No HDMI connected. I used the New roku with same cable on a different tv and it works.

My Comcast guy set up the Roku on the tv and it worked fine for both tv's

It's just the Roku devise itself not connecting to the tv. What I can't understand is why it works with my other tv, with the same cable.

I use my other Roku between tv's. I was assured that I can do the the same with my new Roku.

Yes it is possible to do so, but not recommended, each time you move it back and forth there is a chance of damaging the roku, or worse the port on your tv. It would be preferred to simply buy another roku, you can get one for about $30, and save yourself a lot of trouble moving back and forth and a lot of potential expense in possibly damaging your tv

I went to "source" and hit ok to HDMI 1 with no satisfaction .

The Roku only is sending a message to one tv that the cable is connected. Is there a rest button on the Roku?

But you are physically moving the roku over to the other tv, correct?

There is no reset button, but there is a reset process we can try:

Power off the tv and disconnect both power and hdmi from the roku.
Remove the batteries from the roku remote
Wait 5 minutes,
reconnect hdmi, power the tv on, then plug the roku power back in
put in a new set of fresh batteries into the roku remote
when you see the roku logo show on screen, press and hold the HOME button on the roku remote for 15 seconds.
Let me know the results.

the other thing you can try here is to factory reset the tv. There is an option for that in the samsung menu, under Support/Diagnostics, Advanced, or Help.

Well, I'm beyond confused. The devise worked initially when first used. I will have to refer to the retail store that sold it to me.
