Roku is not an app though, that is your hardware.

I am asking you what apps are not connecting or are giving the not connecting error. Does it happen on everything (netflix, amazon, hulu, etc), or only on certain apps?

Okay please go unplug power to both the roku (and hdmi) as well as to your wifi router, wait 5 minutes

replug, then go into the settings menu on the roku under network and reconnect to your wifi.
