I need to unregistered my device from an account
JA: What's the make/model number of your device? How old is it?
Customer: It's the roku 1
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Serial number is *****
JA: Anything else you want the video expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I purchased a season of snapped. It said I needed to create an account but couldn't use my current email address because it was already registered I created new email account and now says my roku is registered to another account and I need to unregistered my device from that acct

The easiest way to do that is to perform a factory reset on your Roku then register it back to the correct account again.

  • From the Roku home screen, select Settings > System > Factory reset > Factory reset everything, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Register the Roku back to your correct account
