I have tried to set the alarm on my "new" Sony ICF-CD815

Hi Pearl,I have tried to set the alarm on my "new" Sony ICF-CD815 clock radio numerous times without success. The only alarm that works is the buzzer despite the selector being set on either CD or Radio. The lights for Alarm A and Alarm B both light when the user's manual says only one should. Got any ideas? The unit is new, just out of the box.
