I have a 2001 CD and cassette player that has a stuck CD

Customer Question

I have a 2001 CD and cassette player that has a stuck CD tray in the out position, and will not go back into the unit.
When I want to play a cassette, the CD squeals so that it spoils the cassette tape. I don't care if I never use the CD player again, I just want it to retract back into the cabinet. Is there something I can disconnect or anything I can to so I can play my irreplaceable old cassettes. Please can you help me?

Hi Linda, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, bear with us; re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the Sony.
