I just purchased A Toshiba video recorder/Video cassette recorder. My recorder now is hooked to my antenna. Can I do the same with the new recorder?

Hello, and sorry you're having problems. Offhand, no you cannot connect an antenna or coaxial cable directly to the new Toshiba, as all new recorders lack the built in Tuner needed for this. This was done because of many cable/broadcast providers changing and encoding their signal over the years.

So, what you need to purchase is a DTV converter box that will insert "In-Line" between your antenna and the recorder's Red,White and Yellow RCA jacks. This will allow the recorder to record broadcasts through the DTV tuner.
