Customer Question

I have an old Denon DRW-840 cassette player that worked like a charm but was in storage the last two years. I recently hooked up my Hi-Fi system and was playing cassettes. But when the first side stopped, I remembered that there is an automatic reverse on this set. I went and pushed the reverse button and things stopped. Now when I push play it goes in full speed like in rewind. I get no sound and the other side the same thing happens. Is this fixable or do I order a new cassette player????

Hi Bob,

It seems like some of the internal electronics have failed.

A repair would be costly, and it would be more effective to replace the cassette player than repair it.
