Hello. My name is***** can help you with your question. When these players start up for a few minutes and then shut off, it's usually because it has overheated. You can usually alleviate the problem by cleaning it out with compressed air as well as you can – you shouldn't have to open it up to do this but do give it as good a cleaning as you can. Then try it again. Sometimes the problem bills up over time and then during the summer months is when you see the symptoms. What would be consistent with this is if it will run for the same period of time once it cools down, but if you turn it right back on it does not run for as long as it did the first time. Otherwise, it is likely an electrical problem with the capacitors on the PCB. This a little more complicated to fix but it still can be repaired. To determine this, you can do a visual inspection of the boards and look at the capacitors to see if any are slightly bulged or leaking. I suspect the cleaning will do the trick for you though. Mike
