The answer I received from Shahid did not help. The audio cable is not RCA, but I connected it to the blue ray- it is not compatible with the SC-PT950....cannot be plugged into it.

I'm taking images from related manuals of both units and will post in few minutes about audio cable connection setup.
What do you mean by "The audio cable is not RCA," in this question?

Please check the following link to view an image where both units rear are shown and Audio Jacks are marked with red lines to plug the RCA Audio Cable..
After connecting audio cable between both units, select AUX input in home theater system, play a disc in Bluray player and check sound output.
Please reply back with the result.
