My wife, Jillian Trujillo, has a house at 2603 Oakwood
My wife, Jillian Trujillo, has a house at***** The house was purchased in April of 2018. Almost immediately there were issues with the septic system. In talking with the neighbors, it was realized that the previous owners had problems. None of this was disclosed by either the previous owner or the realtor. The system is now completely broke and the house is uninhabitable. We have move the family to an apartment until we are able to change the system. We're going through the lengthy procedures, getting soil analyzed so the town can tell us what system we are required to install. In this process we found out that the previous owner also had this part done. We are assuming that they decided to sell in lieu of correcting and making a conscious decision not to disclose this during the sale.Overall, besides inconvenience, this will be a $25K- $40K issue. Do we have any legal right to go after the previous owner and the realtor for non-disclosure or is this just a bad learning experience? … read more
