My real estate agent ( I am the seller) crossed out paragraph 8 on the contract of sale. We were selling, "as is." Fourteen days after the contract was drawn up I notified my agent that I did not want to sell. When the realtor sent the list of repairs that were found on the inspection, I did not respond because I was hoping the sale of the house would fall through. My agent thought I did not respond because our agreement was to sell as is. My realtor and the buyer's realtor decided to pay for the repairs without notifying me. When I found out, my agent said , "He was trying to help out by not letting the deal go sideways." The closing is supposed to be this Tuesday and the underwriter wants us to initial the original contract at paragraph 8 because my agent forgot to get us to initial , "as is," from the very beginning which i feel makes the contract of sale null in void.
