I have a question. We placed an offer 2 months ago and yesterday was our closing date. Seller disclosed that Attic was finished in 2014 and permits were pulled. When we asked for the permits, seller provided us the HOA permission letter not the permits from the township. We asked the seller to get the permits done and seller said it might take long time to get the permits and asking us to terminate the contract on mutual agreement. As our 2 months of time and money are wasted just because of the negligence of the seller and the agents who didn't provide what's disclosed in the disclosure, we told them it is not a mutual agreement and want our money spent on the house so far (includes the inspection and appraisal fee). Can we ask them to write the reason of termination in the document and return us the money or how it works?… read more
