We live in a buliding and the HOA board has issued a special assesment for repairs of limited common areas (really private unit decks). The problem is that in our CC&R the special assesments are divided equally per unit, independent of square footage. The HOA board is dominated by the owners of the larger units, and they have picked a contractor that is too expensive.
