I am a first time home buyer. I placed a contract on a property, had it inspected on May 28, 2019. the inspector found several repair that needed to be done. I was ok with that. The appraiser went in on June 5, 2019. he was meet at the door with water. My realtor called and informed me of it. We had a lot of rain that week. I was feeling a little worried. But said ok you can repair it. We agreed to extend the closing date from July 19 til August 31.On July 17, 2017 I asked to come out the contract. She stated that the repairs will be finished on July 19, 2019, Still stating I son't want the house. Still have yet to get receipts of the work being done.On July 23, I received the appraisal report which had pictures of the damage from the water It was more than what was told to me on the 5th of June.It was from the kitchen wall around to the dining room wall up to the ceiling Mind you I had already spoke to the realtor that I no longer what to purchase the property. On July 26, 2019 she had me write a letter to the seller to let them know I was coming out of the contract. From Friday til Monday I heard nothing. On Monday July 29, the realtor sent me an authorization letter for my good faith deposit to sign. Today she calls me to say the seller of the house is placing a judgment against me.
