Tina,, i purchased a log cabin home on 10 acres by Barkley
My name is ***** ***** purchased a log cabin home on 10 acres by Barkley Lake in Ky. Im a widow with a toddler at home and got a VA home loan due to my husbands Navy service. ive been here 6 weeks and im ready to walk away from my dream home due to a bat infestation and brown recluse spiders....Ive had 2 professional exterminator companies in and theyve sprayed several times and i have sprayed myself several times. I did have a pest inspection as well before i purchased and it never mentioned either of what im dealing with. the company that performed the inspection and the seller are aquaintances and my home is now not at all fit for myself or my child to be here...... I dont know how to handle this situation because Orkin stated it would cost thousands to get rid of the infestation and to tell you the truth, they seemed skiddish and didnt really want to attempt. the employee that comes to spray seems as though hes afraid himself. ive never in my life felt so many mixed feelings, it has me in an emotional srate that i cannot even be comfortable, relax nor even sleep because of the fear of being bitten or not to mention the diseases the bats carry... im frustrated and very angry as to how i deal with the pests and the sellers! Please help us, Dawn & My little man :( … read more
