A general contractor completed some work in my home. I noticed there were water stains along the base boards of my living area which is the opposite side of the bathroom. The contrator stated that he would send his guys out to my home and have them look at the problem. When I returned home the bathroom was destroyed and there were holes cut in the walls of the adjacent rooms. The contractor did not ask my permisson to cut into the walls. When I met with contractor, he told me that the pipes in my home were old and that he want to replace them and quoted me a cost to repair over $8, 000 then he went down to around $3,000 when I said, i could not afford the repairs. I later had a plumber come ut and assess my damages. The plumber stated that there were no issues with the plumbing and ran a few test. The plimber determined the water was leaking from the shower pan. I believe, the initial contractor attempted to con money out of me. This contatract recently completed other jobs in my home. I paid him a total of $20, 000 and I now believe I was over charged because the quality of work appears to be poor. I beliee this contract htought that if he destroyed my bathrooom, would pay anything to quickly have it repaired. … read more
