I need help with an special assesment issue. We live in a
We live in a buliding and the HOA board has issued a special assesment for repairs of limited common areas (really private unit decks). The problem is that in our CC&R the special assesments are divided equally per unit, independent of square footage. The HOA board is dominated by the owners of the larger units, and they have picked a contractor that is too expensive. In fact they picked the most expensive because from their views the repair is cheap. However for owners of smaller units the repair cost is astronomical.
