Customer Question

I've paid my rent, on time for 10 years. My landlord placed a notice to vacate in 3 days due to non-payment. What actions can I take to protect myself?
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state the property is in?
Customer: Seattle Washington
JA: Has any paperwork been filed?
Customer: Non that I know of. I received notice yesterday. Again, I owe them no money. Never had a complaint. A good tenant
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: It's really that simple. I pay my rent, good tenant but getting an evict notice for no reason.

You may also be offered a phone call, but those don’t come from me and are offered by the website and you are under no obligation to accept.

Why is your landlord giving you a 3 day if you have paid your rent?

.

Is it for this month?

.

Do you have proof of paying it?

.

Have you contacted them to see if this was issued in error?
